Read3Zero is an outreach program founded in 2009 by LongTale Publishing in efforts to support the three key aspects of its organization: Literacy, Creativity and Learning for children. Read3Zero’s main mission is to encourage adults and children to take a stand and read together for thirty minutes a day. The campaign’s slogan–“Conquering illiteracy together … 30 minutes at a time”–represents the importance of adults making time for their children and supporting the mission to fight against childhood illiteracy in our world.

The first implementation of READ3Zero is to get community involement by wearing the READ3Zero t-shirts–an outward expression of committment within our homes. Secondly, READ3Zero will host a short-story contest for all kids in the US, between grades 3~8. We are presently taking submissions and the rules and guidelines are posted on the “I Write” page.

For more information, see our About page.
